Since my results lately are totally dismal I have decided to beat whiterook for the honor of being last in every challenge I am confident in my ability to produce some absolutely banal and pudrid entries which I will put my whle being into. I have even gone as far as to bid on TradeMe for a new camera to help me in my quest for noteriety. I do not believe there are any other contenders for this crown than me. the gauntlet is down.

I have the utmost confidence in you.

But but you've got oddles of competition. This ain't no walk away. By the way I am curious to see what manner of pudridity you have on offer.

You've got four images (at least) on your profile page with scores above 6.0000 - that's better than many!

In the event you should be torn as to which of several images to submit, by all means pm me. I'm getting very sharp at prompting the basest of votes with fitting comments to boot, should you be interested.

A noble goal indeed. Be careful not to submit anything that actually makes a point which someone could appreciate. That will get you high votes. That's what ruined my one intentional effort at the brown.

However, your browns must have a style of their own. Whiterook's is the oversharpening, charliebaker has the lenscap shot. Find a crappy style and make it your signature. I salute you in your noble quest.

Hardly 'noble' in any way. A goal, yes. Noble, no. JMO

I've got one in the works right now. I should give you some competition this year.

An opinion, like everything else. It's a goal that is harder to achieve than you might think.

I, too, encourage you on your quest to suck hard (after seeing your profile, it'll be like sucking a golf ball through a garden hose though) and may you land last as often as your heart desires. I might inevitably join you now and then, but I'll keep rooting for ya. :D

Hey buddy, there's only one thing at this site I'm consistently successful at and you want to take it away? Nice guy ... ;-)

And be prepared for a few frustrating "Tan" and "Ecru" ribbons (second-to-last, third-to-last) as you develop a feel for what will consistently repulse the typical DPC Voter ... see my most recent finish (in the Delicate II challenge) for a recent example. :-(

I never deliberately try to submit a last-place image, but I am rarely very surprised when an entry is received that way.

Maybe I should get in on this.

Good luck with your decent to crapdom. :)

When it's done on purpose they're crap, when it's not done on purpose some are wonderful images, like many of GeneralE's shots.

If you need any advice on how to reach crapdom, I can help. I get there without trying.

I had to beat out 443 other contestants but won the Brown in the Best of 2009! AND... I am part of the "Posthumous Crowd" thanks to his appreciated inclusion of my Brownie into his Fantasy Art Gallery.
Sweet!! Thanks again, Posthumous, for the nod.
My suggestion if you want to win a Brown? Four things - 1.) Noise...and lots of it - 2.) Have your preferably very shallow focus in an unusual place. -
3.) "Over"-process in some way. - 4.) An odd composition.

well mission No one has been succesful I have just puta winning bid on TradeMe for a Sony A200 with 18/70 and17/300 lens 4gb card 2x batteries Sony bag and all the manuals and thing for $NZ 650.oo. My Crusade for the brown has begun.

As my sony A100 is responsible for not takig any good pictures or getting me any ribbons at all, It along with the lenses I won on TradeMe plus a Minolta 19/35 being listed on TradeMe with a starting price of aroun $450 NZ.
I Intend to Have my new gear blessed by St. Swithin the Patron saint of camera cockups to ensure my new score never rise over 2.222.

Ihave been practising for the "hot" challenge but the A100 is still not giving me the mediocrity I need. and I fear will never will.
