Hi everyone,
Just was wondering if anyone had the time if you would mind taking a look at the following two shots I am considering entering into an upcoming local juried exhibit (can only enter one). Your thoughts are requested for: is either one good enough to enter? Could they be with some improvements? I like the close up macro myself, but have not been doing much photography lately and am very rusty and honestly can't decide. The theme of the show is "Welcome Spring/Summer". It will be held by putting the photos on display at a small local, somewhat upscale mall. Thanks for any thoughts!!!

Personally I like the second one. I love the framing and the juxtaposition of the two pestels. Both are great shots though.

personally I like the first one, 017.jpg. I think the macro is brilliant!

I Reckon both are great!
The first one is very in-your-face (as flower macros go), and is very interesting.
The second looks like more of an actual studio shot. (white back-ground, etc...)
Personally, I would choose the first one if the shot was cropped further up, so you can see the flower bud in its entirety. |
