Just wondering what went wrong with this? I really loved this foto! Got it almost at the end of the due time for the challenge! Any opinions of what could've done better?

| one reason I can think about is that it loaded incredibly fast on my dialup. I checked and it is only 4kb??? You have allot of quality loss due to that extreme compression in it. |

I think your shot was very creative, and that that in itself was probably its downfall. It's a toss-up whether creativity will earn you a ribbon or a sound beating. ;)
As far as scoring goes, the image size might have bothered voters (the close vertical cropping). People often vote very low on photos they don't see as big enough, even if the long end is 640. For this, I happen to think the cropping works, but who knows about others. |

| I wasn't hoping to get a ribbon, and not very happy with the place i've got at first but when i saw the results the place suted me well! but i still like this foto a lot! And i think the cropping was good, but your right sometimes people don't take to much atention to small pic's... |

The jpeg compression is visible on it in the fades of the lights. It looks like too rough those need to look more softer, cleaner, I donno how to say this, for a better impact. I am sure you have that in the uncompressed shot and you lost it with the compression. |

| I really liked your picture - gave it a 7. I've given up trying to figure out why some pictures don't do well, it just seems like people are in different moods all the time. Some of my pictures that I've liked the most have really gotten bad scores which others that I think are so-so get high scores. |

Here I magnified it, it is more visible what I'm talking about, but it is really visible on the normal sized one too.
instead of light naturally fading to the black background it is much rougher like a stain or something like that.
