Okay, so it seems voting patterns have changed a lot over the last year. I had a pretty good shot for Best of 2008 which scored a 5.1682... now this crappy snapshot is almost 0.5 higher. I guess people decided to stop voting on "Best of 20xx" images so low and now vote on them more like they vote on monthly Free Study images. Makes me happy, my average is almost at 5.4 again! |

I just crept above 6 this morning and I'm hanging in there despite some close calls (was dead on 6 for a bit). Hoping it holds out until voting closes, but who knows.

I think its kind of interesting when people comment and rave about how wonderful your photo is, then they say ...6 or ...7
?????
I mean. . .if it's so good, why not give it a score that says so? When I rave about how wonderful a photo it is, it gets an 8, 9 or 10. Oh well. Just the difference in voters I guess. Its just curious to me.

I have to say if someone is going to give me a 6 or lower...then I want them to lie to my fragile feelings.
But in your case...shame on anyone who gives any one of your photos a score lower than a perfect 10...;-) |

Great job MAK. My numbers are close to yours in comments and fav's, but you have a commanding lead in the score category. For me it might as well be an 8.0 as it's my first venture into the elusive 6 category and I couldn't be happier with all the comments, favs and what will hopefully remain my new personal best. :)

Remember some folks vote, then go back and comment later, or vice versa. So a comment and score at the same time may not be related. I tend to vote and comment at the same time, but will often go back and increase scores - not sure how that appears in the spreadsheet - wondering if I up my score by 1 from a 6 to a 7 for instance if that shows up as a 1 vote? I certainly hope not! |

Too funny, yet too true. It's like "Amazing capture! I LOVE this photo! One of my favorites in the challenge!...and then they drop the 5 on you. LOL. |

I'm still hangin' with the mid 6 crowd, looks kinda crowed here. Should be interesting to see how the standings shake out tonight. Awesome comment count, 32! Makes it even more fun.
