I have an photo I'd like to in the next challenge, but it suffers from a person with red eye.
Can I edit this out in some way using basic rules.
I know it won't score so well if I cant remove it.
Thanks
Craig

Unless you desaturate the entire image, I think ridding the photo of red-eye would be selective / spot editing and not legal in basic editing rules, but would be allowed in advanced I believe. |

The only way to remove redeye in Basic would be to desaturate the red channel, but that will tend to take the skin tones with it. Your best bet would be to convert to B&W. |

Depending on what else is in the shot, it *might* be possible to do so. Using the Hue/Saturation control, pick "reds" and slide the saturation slider all the way left. Now tweak the color selection points so that the red-eye is affected, but not the skin tones (if possible.) If you find that you can do this part successfully, you might try sliding the "lightness" slider a little to the left as well so that the pupils are darker gray.
