Please somebody help me!
I would like to post clickable thubmnails from photobucket.
I've read and re-read the tutioral several times. I've tired several times.
Then I read a thread about the tutiorial.
Now I've read and re-read again and then it dawned on me in that thread I read something about having to create the thumbnail. Now I can't find that thread. Can somebody just let me know how to do this?

Thanks in advance. :-)

Use this code:

[url=PAGE URL HERE][img]IMAGE URL HERE[/img][/url]

You need to already have a thumbnail size image available to view, and you place the image location in where indicated, then the web page to navigate to in the other spot. It's a bit on the manual side.

This is something called BBCode. I have an add in script for Flickr that generates the link codes for me.

Perhaps there is a similar one for photobucket.

What is 'hot linking' and is this hl?

Thanks spiff. I tired it and again got the full image. :-/

but tired it before you added in the part about having the thumbnail image. So, here's the biggy - how do you make a thumbnail? And do you store it on your computer or on the off site page?

I think hot linking just means your image is clickable as opposed to being static.

Static image from my flickr page, generated with the "insert image" icon above the message box:

Can photobucket give you a reduced size version of the image? That's what you need to use.

Just to clarify so you don't get the full size image posted.

Hot linking used to be frowned on by other websites if you did it.....seems you were using someone else's webspace for your own, or something like that, I think.

Like, I could load it twice and re-size one to use as a thumbnail? (or I could just get a flickr account)

Or you could just pay $25 to DPC and keep your images right here, that's the easiest way.
