I'm a Canadian expatriate living in Taiwan. I've been here for almost seven years now. I'm relatively inexperienced with photography. My first camera was a Pentax point-and-shoot. I then bought a used Canon AE-1 with a 28-80mm Tamron SP and a 50mm Canon FD, which I still have. I've taken some okay pictures with these, but not many due to the bulk and the cost of developing film. Plus, I think it is a bit of overkill for my current level. I recently bought a Fujifilm FinePix F70EXR (which doesn't seem to be in the database here, although the F200EXR is).
I'm mostly interested in learning how to use my little compact and in seeing what other people here are doing with compacts. I'm hoping to understand a bit more about scene composition and editing.
My other hobbies are reading and coffee and espresso. |

| Welcome aboard. You can manage great pics with even a point & shoot once you figure out what it can do and how to work within or around it's limitations. We did a Point & shoot side challenge last summer that may interest you. |

| Werlcome! If you go to the Help > Contact Us menu, you'll be able to submit a "Ticket" for Equipment Change/Addition (four or five choices down), where you can provide the appropriate info (and, I think, a picture) to add your camera to the site database. |

Thanks everyone. I put in a request to have my camera added to the database as per the above suggestion, and Justine did it very quickly. Thanks for the link to the point-and-shoot challenge. I'll check that out in the next week or so, along with the links in Luci11e's thread as well.
