I was going to use this

But thought it was too blah..
Still probably would have done better than my entry:

Still fun though... I'll get a feel for DPC voters yet.. ;)

It always a debate. Enter one of my favorite shots or enter something a little more "out there" to get feedbac. I choose feedback. Maybe a good thing I did since I was considering entering my free study entry into my club's General Nature competition. I've got other stuff I ended up using. Anyways...the outakes:

These probably wouldn't have done a whole bunch better but I think I was happier with the images themselves.

I was going to submit this originally

But I thought that it would be under appreciated because of the noise. I changed it to the shot of the lizards last min.

Did I make a bad decision? haha

Yep :) I think the B&W is better... Not because of the subject or anything, it's just that the lizards look a bit soft to me.

In any case, your image still killed mine score wise, so there's no need to actually listen or anything..

Some days I wish we could enter two shots. Or have two open challenges going at the same time. That would be weird but maybe fun too.

Very pleased with both shots, actually! And very surprised by how well the entry did.
