I have a few
outside DPC:
Carl de Keyzer: Belgian photographer and member of the photo-collective Magnum.
Stephan Vanfleteren: yet another Belgian photographer - photographs exclusively in B&W. Photographer for a Belgian paper and Belgian Celebrities photographer with a defined style.
On DPC:
Davenit: I stumbled on the website of Dave a few years ago. Only recently I discovered that ones he "was here" too.
IreneM
You know, everyone here has photographs I find astonishing. So, some are listed as a favourite photographer, others not, but it's impossible to select everyone as a favourite :)

My favorite photogs here are just that because of the whole package for the most part. It's about the people as well as their work.

His is much richer...darker, more burning BUT it's the same exact building. Took it just an hours ago.

I swear to Joe McNally everytime I need inspiration. His video"tutorials" are few, but when they come they get me off my arse. Joe + a speedlight = magic. But... as someone have said.. Joe eats 30 speedlights for breakfest each day, so there are alot of Joe + many speedlights = the wallet saying "you gotta be f'ing kiddin' me!"
Aside from that, I got to see 10 minutes of a famous Norwegian photographer called Morten Krogvold (website is under construction at the moment). What a man! He photographed Nelson Mandela one time and told us what his opening line was to ensure that he would have time enough to get the photo he wanted. "So, how was it like being imprisoned for 24 years without the company of a lady?"... He got an hour! Where as the king of Norway only got 30 minutes. Learned so much in only 10 minutes!
Also, the God of naturephotography. My out of focus shot of some reindeers, a decent photo of a chipmonk, a small harmless snake, some swans and some bugs are embarassing compared to this! |
