Took the kids down to the Indianapolis Zoo and White River Gardens this weekend. White River Gardens had a huge butterfly exhibit that was just amazing for photographs. Unfortunately, I'm still learning how to use my new Sigma lens, as a lot of my butterfly shots are too shallow or had camera shake. All were shot using the Sigma 70-300mm Super Macro II APO, handheld.
I've put a few in my profile.

Here are a couple of my favorites. I wish the cage wasn't there on the gibbon.
If anything is named wrong or not named, and you know what it is, please leave a comment on the photo with the name, so I can correct it.
Comments and critiques are welcome.
Thanks

A few of them seem a little soft, probably the ones you shot at 300. Some USM may help. Some are also a little dark in the shadows, but the highlights are good. Should be able to fix all that in editing.
The lizard is my favorite - the colors are great!

Thanks for the comments, mood. I didn't spend a lot of time editing the shots, so there is a lot I could do to improve. I will say, it is almost impossible to shoot at 300mm without a tripod. I had some shots that I thought would be really nice and all of them were blurry.
Here is my first bee & flower macro shot.
