Yesterday I lined up tomlewis1980's Canon 70-200/2.8L IS with sn4psh07's Sigma 70-200/2.8EX and my Canon 75-300/4-5.6 mkII USM.

I handheld each at 280mm or 300mm and did a quick test. The results are fairly unscientific, but I was only interested in the handheld quality (as that's what I'd be using the lenses for).
