Hey everyone!
First and foremost, thank you to the creators of this site/forum, for such a magnificent idea. For me, personally, the best way to learn is to learn from others in a competitive nature. In order to be the best at what you do, you have to beat the best.
Photography is really something I never really got into. Granted I'm a film & TV graduate, I never really had an eye for lighting, framing, and am just clueless on what basic principles of photography are. When I decided to just go buy a Nikon d90 randomly or because I was in the mood to buy a DSLR, I found myself wanting to experiment and learn more.
These photos on the website are just incredible. I'm taking a look at the settings that these photos were shot with and trying to understand why it is good. I though that getting out of college was more about working than about learning but I feel otherwise. It's more about learning every single day!
I can't wait to participate in a challenge and I hope I can improve my photography skills over the months. YAY, a new family/club to join :-).
