Although it's not a habit here to announce you're going to stop with a side challenge, I'm still gonna do it. Architecture just isn't my thing, partly due to lack of time, partly due to lack of interest (Perhaps it will come later). So I have two options: just stop submitting or switching to "food a week" again, made some nice things today and a photo and there I found the joy again. Btw. Posting a photo a week is very motivating.

So what do you think: should I stop or should I switch? Just continuing with architecture isn't an option.

Henk
I think you should just submit whatever you feel like.......I would prefer you to keep posting a photo a week (of anything) rather than just stopping.......Note I tried to pick a very broad topic so that I was not forced to photograph something I had got bored of...............

Switch! Switch! The way I see it, this is a highly personal challenge, more for yourself than anything, and you are the one that should derive the most benefit and joy out of it. So I'm in favour of you switching to carry on. PS. I wrote this message before but I accidentally pressed 'report' instead of 'quote' so please ignore if there is any comeback!

Glad you're back! Hope you're tip top shape again soon.

Another elk shot from my recent trip to the Boxley Valley. This young buck came up right across the highway from me - sttod there and looked me right in the eye (or lens). Never been that close to one before. All that was between the two of us was the two lane highway. I wasn't sure how the shot would come out. I was afraid I was shaking so much that even image stabilization would not help.

Like his expression, sizing you up. Cool shot.

Caught this big fellow while he and his herd were crossing road about 30 yards ahead. Never been that close before. Most of time elk are near 100 yards away at closest. Got lucky this day. (Several other elk shots from this day on my Flickr Photostream including a coulpe of young elk directly across road from my position)

Dan this is the pick of your images so far it really is intriguing
the only critic i have is the shadow over its face
but i gather that is not a lot you could deal with
then again its really boosted by the lighting across the body

Such impressive animals. Nice positioning.

My two cents for whatever it's worth.. pick a format as opposed to a subject matter.. it allows you more options.

Had I chosen flowers it would restrict me to just posting flowers, even though I prefer flowers, I prefer to have the option to shoot other things.. even if I don't ;-))

I vote for not stopping. I enjoyed your food images last year, so I would love to see more.

Food 12 - Roasted shrimps with limedip

Ok, not quitting, but switching from Architecture to Food (or Food related). Thanks for the support! 6 weeks without a kitchen can be very depressive, but now it's back again!
