Almost as cold as a Siberian weather station.

Yesterday's temperature reading at the Edmonton International Airport was -46C with a windchill of -59C.

Only one other place on the planet was colder.

Just thought I'd share. :D

Holy moly. And I was complaining because it's -15C here! This is positively tropical compared to that.

Actually, that would be colder than Edmonton this morning. We were -30C. Though the temp where I am is usually about 10 degrees warmer than the international airport.

Thursday we're going to be having a heat wave, +2C if the temp prediction holds true.

I guess the -8C we're expecting here Thursday doesn't count. Positively balmy.

Not an impressive temperature (0C), but it was very cold on my bicycle today.

This is a result of a major blizzard on Dec 4th, the cars that are kinda in line are on a divided highway, all the rest are in a ditch to the left and right LOL.

Makes me glad that I live in an area that rarely sees 0f.

I agree! I'd have to move.

YUP, had something akin to that in the Ottawa area this morning... some 70 car pile up. You would think that drivers would take road conditions and the presence of thick fog into consideration when driving... but apparently not.

It's Harper I tells ya. He turned down the heat because Albertans are going to vote for some other party than the conservatives in the next election. ;\

It's been hot here. Record breaking heat of 85 F (29.4 C) here in Miami. A couple of days ago we broke a record previously set in 1896.

lowest so far around here has been -20s to -30s with windchill Fahrenheit. This morning there was a nasty freezing rain though, had to pull over twice and scrape the ice off the windshield so I could see.

Last week we had -16 to -23 Fahrenheit air temps - windchills colder, of course.... We didn't get above freezing until Friday. This week is warmer - 40's or so and the snow is melting, but not in the mountains. Great snow here in the mountains of Colorado... come on out and ski :)

Our local news channel had some issues with... well... something:

The lowest I saw it at was -607, but I didn't think to get a screencap. This one was borrowed. :)
