has anyone here ever pulled apart an external harddrive casing and installed the HD internally? or put the HD in a drobo or a NAS?
just wondering if it's possible, and if so, how difficult it is...

Hi Skip,
It all depends on the drive....
If it is a sata drive and you have a sata port, it should work a treat.
Depending on the type of external HD you are coming from, you may need to format the drive.
