I just came across a "Peas" challenge from way back. It would be cool to have another one similar to that, and maybe it could be geared towards the holidays, like Candy canes, baked goods, etc.

Edit to add I had no idea there have been so many food related challenges!
I've tried photographing food... it usually gets eaten before I get a keeper shot.

| I believe there have also been Candy and Chocolate challenges, too. I love shooting food! |

I think this is brilliant idea.
Especially if you limit it to one description: say
Shoot a candy cane. Shoot chocolate. Shoot Gum drops, etc etc. Very specific, unlike macro or landscape, or tools of the trade.
one specific thing and lets see how many variations can be made. |

Yeah, I wish we did more challenges like that. Received wisdom at DPC seems currently to favor the idea that ANY restriction stifles creativity, but I vehemently disagree; I think the more you tighten down *on subject matter* the more you free up genuine creativity as regards how to *tackle* that subject matter.
So I'd love to see a "broccoli" challenge. Or whatever :-)

Way back when I do remember suggesting a chocolate-free Candy challenge...believe we did it! Sorry, too busy answering PMs re entries to go look :-)
ETA: Yes, there have been challenges for Candy, CandyII and in terms of one food only, there was a Bread challenge.
