People seem to love the shot by the comments. Too bad the scores show different.

its nice when your pic is just getting the same complaint over and over again and over again (I could seriously keep going with that) and then finally have one person acknowledge what everyone is complaining about as a feature of the shot.

I just want comments...at least your getting them...(not that I don't have any....more is always better...hmmm)

Same here. The voting is showing a "mediocre" response. The 4 very nice comments I got, including the one from Aunty Roz say otherwise. They made my day as I really agonised over technicals, composure, lighting, DOF, shadow detail, sharpness, colours in this entry (despite the highlights from deliberate BL)

I am so mad at the pic I chose to submit. 9 comments and 7 of them say the same thing I thought of the pic before. 1 comment acknowledges it but sees that its part of the picture, and one misguided person actually said it was out of focus.

Wow, the score's no personal best, but sure is the most comments I've received on one shot, and only one negative comment. I'll be shocked if this shot goes over 5.0 though.

I always wonder why people do that as well. If they liked it so much why don't they give you a nice vote to help you out right?

They are not voting because they are in the challenge and they have a personal policy of not voting on challenges they are in. However, they also want to recognize the good work. When I get those comments, I take them as the compliments that they are intended as.
