Indeed. Perhaps a quote from Milton may be in order.

You are truly gifted at avoiding the embarrassment of mass appeal. I think I saw Charliebaker hanging his head in shame.

You should give partial credit to your fine collection of lenses.

I've been on vacation ... my Contre-Jour entry should get me away from those nasty 5.x scores. ;-)

Geeze... I only wish I could be that good... On the 3 images in question you got a 6, a 7, and an 8 from me :-)

after looking at a lot of your photos; loving some and disliking others, I think I have an opinion in the form of an answer at least from my POV. You view the world through the eye of an artist not a photographer. You lean heavily toward the abstract both in imagery and idea. More often than not photographers attempt to capture at least "their" reality; to capture a moment vice an idea. Ironically I believe the best and meaningful photos come when a photographer meets his inner artist. Maybe lightening up the degree to which you carry the artistic side into the reality side would show results. Or I could be totally full of poop.

When it comes to photography, I'm a good poet.
