Ok I just got myself a new computer and I was checking out the site and I noticed that for some reason some pictures just don't show up as thumbnails for me. It doesn't seem to have any pattern or order but in my own profile two of my "recently added to portfolio" shots don't appear as thumbnails. The title is there and I can click it and look at the photo but no thumbnail. Same with when I am looking at the entries for the challenges. It's weird because it's not like the white box with red x in it problem. The pictures are clearly on the site because when I click the title the picture appears but when I hit back or refresh, still no thumbnail. Does anybody have a clue what the heck this could be? I'm running Internet explorer 6. It is really annoying. Thanks. |

Might be a problem with your browser or your ISP. Did you fiddle with your browser settings? Just a thought.

My laptop with the same ISP doesn't have this problem. With the settings, I know the browser is set up to show pictures and the frame for the picture as it downloads. Don't know what else to do with the settings though. |

Hi,
it sometimes happens to me too. What I normally do if using Microsoft Internet explorer it go to Tools, Internet Options, then programs and click reset web settings. Then go to Advanced and click restore defaults. This tends to fix the thumbnail problem. I suspect its usually some website you visit and they fiddle with these settings. |

does it have anything to do with cookies or java script enabled...settings on security or privacy?

I had the same problem, just disabled my Norton pop-up blocker and it is ok, maybe the same with other blockers,
Paul.

jcordina is on the right track. If you are using Internet Explorer, it's probably your internet settings. Microsoft now ships IE with security settings on by default. In IE, go to tools/internet options and select the security tab. Choose the custom button and adjust the settings until the problem is resolved. Or you could simply choose a lower setting (mine is set to "medium.") |

Yeah, you hit the nail on the head. I can see all of the thumbnails now. Thanks. |
