i need some help. if someone is interested in offering me some guidance on a regular bssis, please let me know. Often I have questions that go unanswered because i'm too embarrassed to post yet another 'will anyone help me' thread. I have done that a few times already. I don't enter every challenge so, hopefully, I wouldn't overwhelm anyone. Just need some encouragement, guidance and opinion on which photo to enter type thing. Maybe take a look at my portfolio and if you see some potential somewhere that you think you could foster and wouldn't mind helping me....

thanks

p,s, i do have something prepared for the tilt/shift challenge already and some possibilities for the free study.

Jeez woman, you did that Re-volting shot! Wow!

But I certainly understand where you're coming from. Feel free to have a good giggle at the early stuff I did here. Ihave to admit, joining Team Suck really helped a lot, and even better I found myself a wonderful boyfriend whose photography caught my eye. Don't know if the latter is an option but joining Team Suck - where people like skewsme, Hipychik, colorcarnival, Melethia, NikonJeb, Bear_Music and many other ribbon winners all hang out. Best to read the first page of the thread to get an idea as to where we're coming from. Then, if you are so foolish errr, brave to continue, pm posthumous for a task that you must complete in order to join our lofty ranks ;-)

Susan

At this point I'm not that far ahead of you, but I am willing to offer feedback and help. I will skip voting on any entry I have given pre-challenge feedback on.

I've actually found that the friendly pre-challenge feedback is one of the most powerful learning experiences to be had here.

I agree with Steve and am happy to help.

I haven't joined TeamSuck yet either. I'm waiting for my engraved invitation, delivered by a courier.

I think you're much better off with the likes of Bear_Music, but I'm always available. A few kind souls have been extremely helpful to me, so I'm more than happy to help others with whatever I can.

i'd be willing to give you my "gut" reaction...from a totally uneducated non-developed photographic eye....and most recently accused of..."You are the most inaccurate and uninformed commenter I've ever encountered."....hmmmm but that doesn't stop me now does it...lol

Yeah, REALLY!!!!

Anyone that can visualize, and produce this image is in SERIOUS need of a mentor!!!!

NOT!!!!

Freakin' AWESOME composition on so many levels!

Give yourself a break, and utilize the numerous responses to your plea that you've already gotten.

Don't hold your breath on that one, brother!

You have to go grovel to His Eminence, posthumous, who will choose a most inappropriate, arbitrary task with which you may prove yourself to have no shame in order to join the ranks of the truly exceptional & unique.......(Or in my case, the weird & "special".)

I thought I had already proven that with some of my past entries.

Dude.....you only have two Sub-4 scores!

Poser!

You don't even have a Sub-5 score 'til you go back about four pages!

You don't suck!

I have 6 6+ images in the last eight challenges, yet I still tossed a brick in the last ten with a 4.9091.

Two? I'll have to go look. I thought I had one and it was an intentional effort at a brownie. Beat out for it by CharlieBaker, wouldn't ya' know.

So, you are saying that entries like "Little red riding shoehorn" and "Mr. Sock" are not shameful enough?

Added: Went and had a look back. I had forgotten about "Holiday Bokeh with shoehorn". Another personal fave.
