"Photograph the tools specific to a certain trade/job, i.e. camera and film, hammer and nails, needle and scalpel. "
I am a little confused. Do we have to shoot a pair of tools? "camera and film", "hammer and nails", "needle and scalpel" ?

From that quote I would assume that yes, we need to find tools and photograph them. Whether they're in their setting or in a studio, is up to you. |

No, you don't have to have pairs.
If you look at the results from the first Tools of the trade challenge, there are many images with only one tool. I guess when I suggessted it way back when, I should have been more specific.

I would interpret tools of the trade to mean whatever you use to accomplish your job. Does not have to be a tool you hold in your hand. In this regard, a piece of software could be a tool. |

Question....if you're "retired" (sort of) could home ownership/maintenance be considered a job? |

It doesn't have to be your trade, it just has to be "a" trade.

You can of course submit whatever you like and the voters will decide, but it didn't say it had to be your trade |

These threads about the technicalities of challenges are getting annoying. All they seem to be is fodder for what's voted low and what's voted high before the challenge even starts.
