I got many comments about my Centered entry saying that it would have looked better without partial desaturation or with it reversed. Here is the one I used for entry.


Here is the original. I think the uniform color across gives nothing to draw the eye to the center.


Here is the reversed desaturation I did at the same time. I think the lack of color in the "Friends" makes this less interesting.


What do you think? Which one do you like better? From the comments I got, you would have thought I would finish much higher than I did. Usually I agree with my final score even when low, but I admit the low finish on this one did bother me a bit.

I like the straight one best myself. Her desaturated face made her look odd, perhaps even old. With the color she still stands out because she is in the center and her coloring is more subtle than that of the toys around her. I like it best with her looking human and them looking manufactured as in the middle pic. Ann
