Here's a metaphor, then...
"Only one ship is seeking us, a black-
sailed unfamiliar, towing at its back
a huge and birdless silence. In its wake
no waters breed or break."
Points to the first ID of author, don't cheat and google.

That's a lovely poem. The only Yeats-inspired poem with the word **** in it. :) |
