Once upon a time a certain photographer, ok it's me, submitted a photograph that got DQ'd. It was for the Chinese New Year Contest. I submitted a picture of a Penguins Jersey and I had applied a PS effect to. The photo was titled "Year of the Penguin. No? Maybe that's why we are in Last" You probably didn't see it, as I was DQ'd almost immediately (I had a decent score and a few comments). Reason- the Penguin logo is appearently considered art, and I used it. I can accept that.
However, in the Centered contest there is a similar photo (in concept). And although it didn't finish very well, it was "validated".?! I find this very curious.
The only explanation I can find, is that the site council must all be Flyer Fans, and couldn't stomach see the beautiful Black and Gold entered in a contest:)

Spyydr,

Between those two challenges there was a change in the Artwork rule.

Artwork. Literal photographic representations of the entirety of existing works of art (including your own) are not considered acceptable submissions, however creative depictions or interpretations of "art" are permissible. This includes, but is not limited to: paintings, sculptures, photographs, drawings, computer artwork, computer monitors, and televisions. A literal representation is one which is composed in such a way as to compel the voter to rate only the work of art represented and not the artistic decisions made by the photographer (i.e., lighting, composition, background elements, etc).

The bolded text is new.

What's hockey?

You mean this one?
Is that why my puck (real puck that I caught at a game) took dead last? I was happy with the shot and it was dead centered. See the raised letters on all rounded sides? I did change the B/G color to match the eyes.
Or is it because I was pulling for the Fliers too?
(BTW...Taking last in the challenge hurt more than my hand did after catching the puck....lol.)
