Hey everyone! I am working on a project for a class. The focus of this project is to utilize geotagging of videos in an interesting way.
What I need from everyone and anyone:
A short video (between 20 and 60 seconds) of money (coins and bills). The money can be doing something, or it can just be sitting around. What I am looking for is small vignettes into the life of money: what is it doing? where is it going? where is it ending up?
Examples: a lone penny is forgotten on a busy sidewalk as pedestrians walk past it. Or a group of bills sit on a table in a family diner waiting to be picked up by the waitress who is cleaning off the table.
But I know you guys are all quite creative, so I'm sure anything you come up with would be great.
I just have a few requirements:
1. No cuts (must be done in a single take)
2. No zooming (generally, it's cheesy, but if you really think the shot needs it, go for it)
3. Stabilize the camera (please don't just do a hand-held shot that looks like some blogger's new YouTube video... I don't know if any of you have a SteadyCam or anything but that would work as well)
4. Avoid things that are unrealistic (don't show someone purchasing an item with Confederate money or something like that)
5. Keep the focus on the money (make sure the money is the focal point, conceptually and compositionally!)
Also, while you are shooting, please record your location. It definitely does not have to be exact, but if you could remember where you are enough to be able to find the general area on this map ://itouchmap.com/latlong.html and record the latitude and longitude.
Once that is done, all you need to do is upload the video to sendspace.com and email me with the link to the file and include the latitude and longitude in the email (so it might be better to just send the link afterwords and don't use the upload form to send it).
The sooner I get any of these the better, but I guess a good deadline to shoot for would be Saturday November, 28th. But if you can, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE send them sooner. I probably made this sound more complicated than it is, but I just wanted to be thorough. Post here if you think you can contribute.
THANK YOU ANYONE AND EVERYONE! |
