Seems to lack a little sharpness to me ...
did you crop out the rest of the guitars neck or is a hand holding it that wasnt supposed to be seen?
I like this kind of experiments, keep it up!

Your photos of the guitars are quite interesting. I have never seen them photographed like these. I like the background, and the way it's been lit, which provides good seperation for the subject. You've also done a good job of eliminating all shadows, but it makes the subjects appear that they are floating in space, which I"m not sure is something I like. In addition, the guitar hole is too brightly lit and is distracting to the other more interesting and beutiful aspects of this subject. One thing you can do to correct this is to put in some black foam that will block light from lighting up the hole.
Personally, I would like to see more detail of the detailing around the hole, as well as, better lighting of the face and side of the guitar to bring out the color of the wood. And if you could use less bright or colored background, it would give your subject more prominence. |

Pretty good stuff, try a long shot (from a tripod) and soft lighting.
You would need a tad bit different angle for the thickness of the acoustic, focus on the nut of the guitar and go a little soft as you get to body. Just a thought.
