i've just started to sift through the entries of this interesting challenge. i must say i may have misunderstood the instructions but in the end did not enter. so i gotta ask, how would this have done?

Go with your gut. Viewing the submissions, (many of which are very good)...this photo would have fared very well!
I love it.
Some will argue that it does not qualify...but others would have loved it. That is what makes the Challenges so stimulating and this such an interesting site!
Good shot. I'd hang it on my wall!
Next time, when in doubt...submit it. If ya get slaughtered in the score...then you learned something. Better to have tried, than to watch from the sidelines kicking yourself!

as it is i'm doing better than ever by far on my perspective shot and wouldn't want to press my luck...(crested 6.8 just now, with 116 votes and 13 comments. nutty.)
i'll save the shot for another time.
