Please take a moment to visit one of my photos on Flickr. Today is the day the Wall fell and I'd like to share a little of what it means to me. Read what's under the photo. Maybe make a comment on what the fall of the wall means to you.

Either way, thanks for looking.

David

Nice story, and thanks for your time in the service, it is appreciated. The Wall never meant much to me...it was all an abstract idea thousands of miles away...but I can try to imagine what it must have been like for those who had to live there.

Time to put on a blue shirt and forget the flickr links, though...flickr sucks! :-P

Just like DPC, you get out of it what you put into it. I have found some specific user groups on Flickr that cover my cameras and software in a way that I cannot get on DPC. I cannot say enough good about the meetup group for my area. I find Flickr and DPC to be good counterparts to each other. What one lacks the other has.

However, I will agree that the blue shirt is worth the $25 a year.

Thanks for posting this, David1707.
A click on your picture became a doorway into history.

Oh, no, don't get me wrong...flickr is a fine place for image honks and and tweets. I think it sucks because:

A) It's slooooooooow.
2) Their image-resizing algorithm is horrible.
iii) Too many primadonnas.

Hey, Primadonna is my personal Paparazzi! She snaps some of my favorite rolling on the ground pics.

I must agree on a) and 2), however. Just like DPC, it has stuff that keeps me coming back. And just like DPC, It's not perfect. Price is about the same, and for about $2 a month, I get a good value for my money on both sites.
