Personally...I think it would be fine to add props or people or whatever as long as you are standing in the right spot. What do you think?

I don't think using props is within the spirit of the exercise. I think the whole point is to learn to see what is around you, and to figure out a way to make the overlooked and uninteresting - interesting. I think if I see what I think are props, it will affect my scoring. Just me.

Totally agree. Importing props, setting up the picture in any way, is not what the exercise is designed around. fd course, this is DPC and so that's irrelevant, but.... In any case, I did just what the challenge asked for ΓΆ€” didn't make any effort to direct myself in a photogenic direction, just headed out and shot where I ended up. Got scratched from some thorns for my trouble, too :-)

Would anyone be interested in offering a suggestion if I should enter a particular shot for this? PM me, and I'll send you the link.

Thanks....

My 47 steps took me right to a place where studio lights were setup around a sweet water drop with a deep blue and warm red backdrop.

I know this is OT but I just ran across the red ribbon in the free study and found this to be ironic.
