Fantastic! I want to know more. Where are the photos of the camera. What kind of lens did he put on it? Where did he get the film?

Kodak has in the past produced some very large ccd sensors, see at this url:

One of them was made as an insert for Graflex 4 X 5 cameras.
Still does not even approach the huge negatives of the film based cameras.
