I did a recent shoot of a group of Aboriginal Dancers. It isn't the first time I have worked with them...and won't be the last. I put together a small slideshow of the recent shoot and uploaded it to Youtube. You can access it via the thumbnail below.
I thought some of you may enjoy all the colour and costumery.

The photos are magnificent, that troupe must be thrilled with them!!!
Even the ones that "break the rules" re harsh sunlight look SO right because that very light suits the subject ever so well.
You have a great mix of close-ups vs scene setting wide ones. My only complaint would be that there are too many very similar shots which makes the slide show unnecessarily long. |

Thanks Beetle for your honesty. I have to admit that I could have reduced the number of the images...but this was a rush job and I was dead tired when throwing this together...lol! There were others I could have put in, in their place but it would have lost the feel of the natural setting of the slideshow.

Really good work Judi. I tend to agree with Beetle that the slide show seems a bit long, but I can understand the inability to weed out the bad images as there don't appear to be any in the batch you posted. |

Enjoyed very much, and the music was amazingly non distracting. What I mean is that my experience of music tracks in these things is generally very unhappy. |

I actually loved it. Wished it would go on longer. |

That was very nice. I liked the one with the bird in the BG. The ones on the pavement seem a little out of character for the general theme. Some of the trees look like they had a big fire there recently. I am happy that they are keeping up their tribal traditions, and allowed you to be there to document it to share. I would expect that some of them may be on line now viewing the slideshow LOL.

Thanks everyone...they are a fantastic bunch of guys....I haven't laughed so much in a long time. The looks they got from people around was hysterical. If you can imagine them pulling into a service station to fill their car up...in full costume and body paint and spears sticking out the car windows...or sitting around on mobile phones whilst we took a drink break at a local shop. People were scared to come over and say hello.
