They told me they'd have a contract ready for my review tomorrow. I'm crossing my fingers it all goes through.

Actually, I was kind of surprised that you can just right click and save an image. They should at least turn off that capability.

Would that really make a difference? Even if that were to be disabled, doing a screen capture would still work.

...but at a lesser quality.

HiFi or Lentil, does this strike you as a new campaign? Have you driven by the same place every day and just noticed the signs? Are the daycare centers new? I found a couple news articles from back in April that talked about a very large daycare company going under and Kids in Care being among the companies that was taking over some sites. I'm curious as to whether that has just happened and these signs have only been up for a week or less.

sorry i havent been on, yes it strikes me as a new campaign.. I drive past this centre every day and it wasnt there up till I told you earlier. I have a photo on my phone but cant for the life of me find the cable. I will take one on my camera if you want, its the same as the one HiFi showed you.

Don't stress yourself out lentil. I appreciate the offer, but I have what I need for evidence already. :)

Even with right click disabled, you can often just drag and drop the image straight to your desktop or what ever folder you like...

Many sites disable any click event on images.

There are ways around everything. Bottom line is if its on the internet, and not watermarked in such a fashion to make it unusable, the potential for the image to be lifted is great.

Let's not debate image protection (or lack thereof) in this thread -- there are plenty of others (including quite recently) devoted to that subject. Let's keep this thread to a discussion of this particular situation and DrAchoo's impending windfall ... it sounds like the aggrieving party is being reasonable -- congratulations!

Jason, glad to hear it's going forward and you will get some resolution.

My question: what size photo did they originally take to "sell" to the childcare photo? Did they use your DPC shot and upsize to billboard size?!?!?

its not a massive billboard, but around the 5-6 feet mark long perhaps...give or take. I am hopeless with measurements but its not huge

From a distance the image looks great but when you get up close to it, it is very clear that the image has been taken from somewhere other than the original file. It is very pixellated.

Thereby damaging your reputation as a photographer/allergist, triggering even more damages, resulting in an even BIGGER Infringement Party.

Is this about to turn into income that you would not have made if your image had NOT been stolen?
