So.....I just happened to look at the windowsill out my bedroom window and there's this pretty little snake about 14" long......



I am just trying to figure out why there's a snake on my *second floor* bedroom windowsill!!!!!

Dunno what kind it is, but I'm guessing it either climbs or flies.......8>)

I can't see the image since I am at work. However, I do know that snakes can climb... even walls. I did find the following article.

yeah - rat snake is much more likely a bet.

not poisonous....

varied markings though.

it looks like a gopher snake to me, a bit ironic considering where you saw it.

Yeah I had a pretty traumatizing experience when I was 6 involving a snake that managed to climb a smooth shower wall. My dad and I got locked in the bathroom with a very large king snake and we thought we were safe by closing the shower door, but it just crawled right up the glass and wall and dropped down onto the floor and started hissing and lunging at us O.o we only escaped by using a pair of tongs to pin its head down. Ahhhh, childhood memories...
