I know a mineralogist who would go to Brazil on vacation and take abstract pictures of rocks or whatever and then sell the images for beach towels and such.

If you run it on a sized-down image, so your adjustments run faster, can you then record those adjustments and run them on the full-sized image and get the same result?

I ask because I'm a huge tweaker. It looks pretty neat, but I wouldn't bother with it unless I could have nearly real-time feedback due to my A.D.D.

If you get it to where you want on a smaller size, save the image and the next time you open Fractalius, down in the preset section, the first option will be "last used". I don't know if you can have it save your own presets besides that but if it is the next photo you wourk on, the settings will still be there. Good idea- I hadn't thoght of that.

I was figuring it would operate on a pixel scale basis, and so the results using identical settings might be very different on an 800 pixel image versus a 3200 pixel image.

That's really cool and I just love the dark tones.

I think I used one of the B&W modes on this one and then blended and faded in a soft light overlay. A totally difference effect and yet seems to work for people too.

Don̢۪t get me wrong, I think the effect is kinda neat, but it seems $40 is a bit steep for someone wanting to play around a bit with it. Sure graphic artists, and or pro senior photographers like Cindy that feel it will add to a portfolio might feel the price is worth it. I do wonder how many more copy̢۪s they would sell if the price was half that, I know I would be more inclined to make the purchase.
