I do portraits and I use mpix to print all my orders. I'm very hands-on, so I want to see everything before it goes to the client.
I'm also pretty creative, but I just can't seem to figure out how I want to package the prints! I don't want to use white envelopes because it just seems so...not my style. I would like to get something like presentation boxes for my clients, but I'm certainly not paying $25 per box. (Of course, unless I start making bigger sales and I can write it into the price of my prints!)
So, I ask you...how to you hand over prints to your clients?
Also, has anyone used mpix's boutique packaging and is it worth the extra money? And can I open it and peek at their stuff before I hand it over without making it look like I violated it? ;)
Thanks! |

Yes, I have used mpix's boutique packaging, and I thought for the little extra it was quite nice. And yes, I was able to carefully undo the bow/ribbon and check out the prints....and put it back together! :-) |

I have about 10 companies in my faves that do this kind of stuff, offering different options and prices.
If you want bulk go to uline.com
If you want eco-friendly (clients love this) go to www.sustainablegroup.net (everything is recycled)
If you want unique and 'natural' google 'Loktah'.
With different options, you can mix it up for your clients depending on what they need. I've started packaging all my CDs in Sustainable Group's recycled paper CD sleeves. It's nice being responsible and conscious of this, especially when 90% of clients just throw the stuff away anyways. Also, I find it gives me brownie points :) |
