Other folks will recognize this famous hoodoo and will probably tell you it's location.

I want this delicate, unprotected geologic structure to remain pristine and undamaged. Another nearby hoodoo has already been vandalized and I do not desire this one suffer the same fate.

The capstone of this hoodoo is made of Dakota Sandstone which was once part of a beach along an ancient seaway 100 million years ago. The pedestal of the hoodoo is Entrada Sandstone laid down even earlier that is 160 million years old. It took millions of years of erosion for this beautiful structure to be carved out of stone.

What took nature 160 million years to create can be destroyed by a thoughtless human in minutes.
