The side challenges are fun to participate in but I always thought it would be nice to be able to enter a pictuer every once in a while (maybe one challenge per month) that did not have a time restriction. I do understand why there are time restrictions but seems to me that one per month out of, what 13-14 challenges wouldn't hurt.

This way we can have actual voting on a shot that we took either currently or in the past. I think what discourages me a lot is timing. Sometimes I have the perfect shot taken a month ago. Potentially they could put a different time restraint on it (a year?).

I think it would be lots of fun to find the perfect shot I took & even re-edit it from scratch for the challenge (basic or advanced).

I agree. I think Street Photography Challenges should be run over a longer period of time...perhaps, a month. Since, a lot great street work is more often found than created and some ends of the genre are based on lucky alignments, one week is a joke, in terms of time. Sometimes things fall into your lap but in the end it takes a great eye to get the good shots. The best Street Photographers on the planet could easily come up short in a week but over a moth of culling, you'd eventually see some pretty stellar work.
