If your eyes aren't bleeding from photo overload yet, please have a look at my photos from this year's Oregon International Air Show. I'd love to hear what you think about them too, so please leave comments if you can.

2009 Oregon International Air Show

I think I found the perfect vehicle for Art Roflmao...

Thanks!

These are a couple of my favorite shots of the F-18. You really have to be quick to get decent shots when a jet is doing high-speed passes. This guy didn't break the sound barrier, but he was definitely going places in a hurry. I missed a few good photo ops because I was messing around and couldn't get focused in time.

I still have a bunch more photos to edit. My wife was shooting too. This is one of hers. I love the way it looks like the wings have feathers.

millsa got some nice ones at the Australian Airshow earlier this year.

I don't have any of mine online, though, I did submit an F-16 shot for the March FS.

Really like those 2. Its great when you can catch the air movement around the plane. I also really like the Thunderbird shots. I got to see them 2 years ago when they came over for The Internatiol Air Tattoo. They were so awesome but the weather was a bit grey to get any amazing shots like yours

Thanks Janna! RIAT is a huge show and I'd love to see it some day.

Nice shots. Still can figure out what lens you used? I would love to do a media day at an airshow.

I used the 17-40mm for most of the shots of planes on the ground. For the rest I used the 70-200mm (with and without the 1.4 and 2.0 TC's). Becky used the 10-22mm and a 100mm lenses.

Media day was a lot of fun. There was no crowd to get in the way and we were able to talk with the performers one-on-one. I even played 'ground crew' a bit when Renny Price arrived late and needed help getting his plane into line with the others.
