I was trying to buy this:
Gateway 1.8GHz QuadCore Media Center with HDMI

And the damn site keeps freezing and won't let me! Im taking it as a sign from Levar Burton (Star Treks Jodie Leforge, and my Higher Power) that I shouldn't do it.

$290 and its a refurb, but ive gotten refurbs from there before with no issue.

Manic - everytime I would hit "I WANT ONE" I would get a gateway time out or an "oops thats not supposed to happen - bad woot!" error.

Sounds like people were hammering the server in the offchance that a baggie o' crud was coming up next. However, the deal will probably come around again in the next few weeks, so it's not like it's the last time you'll ever see it ;)

Yeha, i've seen it on there before, thats why I was quick to try and get it, as I had regrets about passing it up last time. Oh well. That is the way of the woot.

Most likely it was a popular offering and the servers were getting hammered. Just wait until the BOC come up and the servers will go down.

Not sure I need the "Vera Wang Leather Nesting Trays" that are up right now.

Reminds me of the morning show DJ's on KSCS a few day's back. Someone said the word "crotch" and the woman on the crew was on the floor laughing for 10 minutes. She tried to do the news and could not get through it without busting up.

I could probably build you one five times as fast for twice the price with a minimum of 1 year warranty on all parts... but I'm in a different country for the next 4 months.

Edit: Actually, maybe even better - I was assuming that yours included a monitor, but I don't see a monitor listed there

i have the klipsch synergy series system here ( synergy III - 2 series ). but the c-1 ( center channel ) is up at woot now. though not the best deal newegg has them for the same price - walmart $198 - MSRP $199. kick ass speakers...

Last few Wootoffs the BOC has been in the middle and the end of Woot has been indicated by either the slingshot monkey or wootoff lights.
