Hi, I wanted to know if anyone out there would like to share a great beach locations in Southern California for a family portrait. I'm doing a shoot on Sunday and would like a recommended location maybe near Malibu, CA. Examples would be appreciated.

I'd go to 'Pay Zuma' in Malibu at sunset:
Drive all the way to the end of Zuma and go through the pay booth and drive to the end.

| there's a little spot off the PCH at Mugu Rock that i like. (plug Mugu Rock into google maps for directions.) it's closer to oxnard than malibu actually. there's some nice sandy beaches with some rock outcroppings. there's even a spot where the water when it rushes across the beach comes to the rocks and makes a little explosion upward. if you're heading west and just pass the big rock there's a little parking area and from that you can walk down or climb down to the beach. Last time i was there we saw some people doing a nude shoot right there where the water hits the rocks. there was a cool spot too where the beach had a high spot close to the surf and when the waves broke it created a little island. |
