Ok, I'm having a debate with my husband regarding the missed focus challenge--so now I'm confused. Does the photo have to be simply that the focus is off. Or can the subject be blurry (which is out of focus, imo) because of movement?

I would think it could be blurry!! Do to wind, movement and slow shutter speed.

I would have thought so too, but he thinks that motion blur is not missed focus.

"Use an out of focused subject in a compelling way"

I think that says it all.

It does not matter why the subject is oof just that it is.

that's also what I said. He then countered with "blur isn't a focus issue--it's an exposure issue. It has nothing to do with focus."
