And out of those 75% nobody knew Paul, Moses or Muhammad. I'll give you L. Ron Hubbard though.

The Book of Genesis Illustrated

Originally posted by Story Abstract:

Underground comic legend R. Crumb has put the entire text of the best known book of the Bible into a graphic work. In The Book of Genesis Illustrated, he depicts it all, from the creation of the world to the death of Joseph.

Crumb spoke with host Neal Conan about the challenges of adapting the 50 chapters of Genesis in panels and drawings. Crumb found his way into all of the sex and violence of the story, and The Book of Genesis Illustrated features a warning on the cover, recommending adult supervision for minors.

Not a joke, satire, or criticism -- just a straightforward illustrated version of the story. An interesting interview ... downloadable audio should be available this evening.

I like the direction of the thread as it is, but this is too rich to pass up. We all know we don't always act good. I don't. You don't. So is that because you choose to do bad or because someone taught you to think badly?

Greatly said my dear friend

When you meet a man judge him by his clothes, when you leave a man judge him by his heart.

When you meet a man, judge him by his clothes??????

How 'bout I not judge him at all, and wait to see how he treats me in return for offering up a hand in friendship?

after 26 ounces of Vodka it does...

You may try as hard as you want, the First Impression you get of someone is something very hard to fight, even when you try not to judge anyone. I think the proverb is about changing taht impression of someone based on how they acted with you.

I don't really see it that way unless the first impression is in a difficult situation, i.e happening onto someone in a time of stress or some other very personal moment........certainly if your first exposure of someone is when they're screaming at their neighbor 'cause their dog ate their cat or something, it'll be an interesting start......8>)

I usually try to reserve my impression of someone *until* I see how we interact.

All too often I've found that my opinions of people differ from others' BECAUSE I interact differently with them than other people do.
