We need a good moody challenge to help bring it back! Anyone got any artistic and depressing topic choices? |

unless its toned, like sepia, black and white, or whatever other kinds of tones you like. If its a normal color image, i dont really like grain, except for a few specific reasons. (like if it adds emotion or whatever)

I have ocassionally added 'noise' to an image to simulate film. Adding noise is a common effect used in video post-processing.

not really, I've seen some beautiful work using neat image on this site.
BUT that's just MHO :) |

You can tell who some of the folks are who have used black and white film. :) That was part of the fun of using film was the impact of grain. The faster the film, the higher the grain. People call it noise these days and treat it like a bad thing.
