when i uploaded photo it has darkened my photo when i look at it in my editing program its the way i want it ..how can i get the light or darkness to be the same on the web as i see itb4 uploading... i am dumb so talk slow ..also the only photo editing program i have is Paint Shop Pro 7...long story on how i lost my photo shop..and cant buy it right now..also wondering how i can get my uploaded photo to be a larger file..someone told me in my last challenge if i saved as a larger file i would have a better photo on here?? not sure what they mean

As for larger file they were talking about .jpg compression I assume. Larger File Size, Less loss of Quality and the picture stays the same dimensions.
When you save your file choose Save As... there will be an options button near the Save button. Click on the options button. There should be a slider for the Quality Level here. The closer to 0 the lessor the quality and smaller the file size. Closer to 100 the better the quality and bigger the file size.
As for darkness on upload, I'm at a loss. |

It sounds like a problem with the color space settings in PSP. I have never used PSP, so I can't help with specifics, but you want to set it for a sRGB working space. Your pics then should look same on screen as on the web. ALso make sure you are saving in sRGB o rwith no embedded color space information.

When you click on SAVE AS,also you can select the compression.
1 is the smallest compression or best quality ,2 is lower quality and so on .... |
