OK, Lowepro & Henry's have made a believer out of me.

I took my Slingshot to Henry's (even though I bought it at BestBuy and had no receipt). They took the ruined 200AW on a repair order...three days later, they called to say Lowepro had said to just replace it. I headed up to pick it up, and noticed there was a 300AW on sale. I told the guy I'd pay the difference, and he said "Nah, don't worry about it, I'll make the adjustments". To make a long story medium-length, I walked out with a brand-new 300AW to replace the 200 with the shredded zippers.

Lowepro +1
Henry's +1

The end.

Wow...

Henry's is a customer oriented store. I had a problem with a Nikon 70-300 D ED that I bought used from them on eBay, and I returned it. They sent me a brand new one.
I have been using a Canon backpack for about 4 years now, and a couple of weeks ago, one end of the handle strap at the top came out, letting the bag drop about 18 inches to the floor. Nothing was damaged except the strap. I have had to put the zipper handles back on a couple of the zippers because the little cord on them sometimes gets snagged on things. I can't fault the handle sewing though, as the bag carries an S3 pro body, 10 lenses and a flash, 3 sets of batteries and half dozen filters and other junk. The whole kit weighs 23 lbs, so I feel it was mostly my bad about the handle pulling out due to overload.

im looking at getting this:

ive heard really good things about the bags... when i can afford it i try to buy their snowboarding gear too, and it holds up to some serious abuse, since i work in the industry and use it all day, everyday.

Lots of praise for Tamrac in this thread, but my last two Tamrac shoulder bags, admittedly lower-prices ones, have had problems. The zipper broke on the first one; I replaced it with a slightly more expensive model, and a couple of weeks ago the damn thing dropped off my shoulder when the strap broke as I was walking. The metal clip on the bag had snapped! Luckily I was in a carpeted hallway and not on the street. I'm partly to blame for not noticing the metal was wearing thin, but still...

That's pretty awesome. Glad it worked out for you!

They aren't really my style either. So no I wouldn't say it's just you.

Check out dakine bags. They make 3 quite big bags that fit more than your kit. And they look awsome!

I just recently upgraded my bag a few months ago from some nameless off-brand that was falling apart all over the place, to a Think Tank Urban Disguise 50 and I couldn't be more satisfied. It holds a TON of gear and I was surprised at how small it was. The construction is strong and solid and it is well worth the price.

Here is a pretty thorough review of it: //www.techislands.com/reviews/photography/think-tank-photo---urban-disguise-50.html

Hope this helps!

My Slingshot AW100 has been holding up well after about 18 months or so. It's getting a little tight now that I have a bigger camera, but no problems with ripping or tearing. Might check out some larger ones in the future, however.

Don't give up on your SlingShot yet. I had a zipper blow out on mine and I emailed the company and said that I would like warranty service. They emailed me back and said to ship it in to them. As I recall, I sent it to somewhere near Napa, California. Anyway, within a couple of weeks, they sent me a brand new one, no questions asked.

Give it a try. :)

Yeah, and check out that straight haircut! What were they thinking! However, the bi camera and the transgendered pants you can just see are okay.
