Strew-in vs Drop in (Cokin)
Does anyone know of the advantages or disadvantages of one over the other?
Does the adapter (cokin) fit all lenses? |

| For someone that's not used filters alot, could someone elaborate on "Strew-in" and "Cokin"? |

Uh... by Strew-in - they most likey mean "Screw On" and Cokin is a brand of filters that are mounted in front of the lens using an adapter that lets you move the filter into different areas. The Cokin (and other brands) approach is especially useful for "graduated" filters where the effect is not necessarily wanted in the center of the image.
Suggest you do a web search for +"filter systems" +photography on your favorite search engine. |

I asked this same question a while ago and everyone was really helpful. I ened up going for the Cokin system for my 300D and I have no regrets. I still use screw in filters for my Dimage7i and I get vignetting. You don't get that with the Cokin.
