Does anyone know how to bring out the silver more without brightening up the black as well?

You mean like this?

It's just levels correction in PS.

Try using curves - you can dramatically increase the silver without brightening the black.

ok, i adjusted the curves, but I think it was better if i adjusted in two places, so its a really curvy curve. Then I adjusted the levels, with the dropper tool thingy, and then finally, I did brightness and contrast, - a little on the bright, and + ALOT on the contrast. I like it, DO YOU?

I certainly like it much better than your first one! This one has some shiny parts.

If you have Photoshop CS, you might also want to try the new shadow/highlight tool. It does a great job of bringing detail out from shadowed areas.

Photoshop CS shadow/highlight feature works very well for some photos but, like any process, must be used judiciously.
Sometimes, the shadowed areas have very poor dynamic range and look perfectly awful after applying this filter.
