Hello,

I am 23/M from Canada just recently have become addicted to photography and have been looking for a place to get some feed back from.

I like the idea of doing challenges as it will give a good idea of what to shoot.

hopefully I can become a active member of the community.

Thanks

Leigh

Welcome Leigh! A good way to start is to take a look at the tutorials, there's some great info in there. Best of luck!

Welcome. This place has helped me out a lot. I got my first DSLR in January and I think this site has helped me a lot! I've even sold a few prints locally already!

Welcome aboard! I haven't seen your introductory contribution yet, however. In case you're unaware of it, it's customary to tip both Art Roflmao and me $50 apiece, because we are going to be (in his case) hysterical and (in my case) informative...

We both accept paypal...

R.

Welcome Leigh.

It is always nice seeing more Canucks join the site. :) What part of our beautiful country do you reside in?

I am currently in Nanaimo BC, but am from Saskatoon Saskatchewan. Kinda in the middle of both trying to find a home lol.

I have been reading and I kinda wish I was better at comprehending the stuff I read, I find some of it a little advance.

looks like I'll have to become a member before you see any of my stuff, but I will get around to it.

here is my flickr account for now.

Welcome, I thought it may be worth while to add this link originally posted by jeger back in March 2009. Just so you don't get frustrated...

Thanks it was well worth reading, since I am just starting out and pretty much from scratch I will take everything with a grain of salt.

Welcome, neighbour! (look down-island and see if you can see me waving)
This is an amazing site, whether you're a beginner wanting to learn which side of the camera to point at your subject or already a pro. (We have lotsa both here.)

We're just a big, slightly disfunctional family and I know you'll love it. Just watch out for Slippy and Art, and do NOT feed the Bear! :D

Stay seated at all times, keep your seat belt on, and enjoy the ride

Whoa there! I always considered myself to be the informative one and you to be the funny man. I am pretty sure everyone would agree with me on that.

Welcome, Leigh. You should let us know what your username stands for before my mind makes something up and it sticks. ;-)

Have fun.

Perhaps your are correct, as you are the one Rolling on the Floor Laughing Your Ass Off. Then again you tickle yourself alot so perhaps Bear is right.

How it really works is, If you tip Art Roflmao he won't come to your village with his torch. If you Tip Bear_Music, He will give you so much advice your head will swell into a pumpkin of knowlege and explode which then will be turned into a mini movie filmed and directed by Strikeslip. In reality it is a fun website but also a very scary place "VERY SCARY" <<< read that last part with lots of reverb echo<<<

Welcome and Enjoy.

You could always put it in this thread, and see what people come up with :)
