A member of the Photographic Society of America shared this link today and some of the information gleaned from Mr. Cramer's interview could be useful to some. It's a quick little interview, but rather insightful (nothing too deep!)

Definetly worth the read...

I've had times where I have gone out to shoot, to get a specific image that I had in mind. And, then took other "shots of opportunity" along the way.

When I get home, I sometimes feel disappointed when one of those off hand shots seems to work much better than than the one I worked to get. He is right. It doesn't matter what YOU went through to get the image. It is the image that matters.

Somehow, the camera and life work together to provide the images that we bring home, regardless of intent.

I very rarely have expectations any more since I so rarely control what I find and see.
