WTF!?!?

I bought a nice triangular prism at an awesome toy store in Ottawa three years ago. It's been kicking around the house ever since, kids play with it, I play with it... it has always seemed to be everywhere.

Now I get a request to shoot a cover, and could really use it as a prop, and the darned thing is nowhere to be found, and my daughter with nearly photographic memory doesn't even know where it is. And I know why, because I finally put it away somewhere 'safe' for future use, so it wouldn't get lost.

I just spent the last hour and a half walking around the Eaton Centre and down the east side of Yonge street from Dundas to Queen looking for one, and talking to a dozen people.

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Oh you must have gotten it at Mrs. Tiggy Winkles? I love that store!

Have you tried the gift shop at the ROM? I bet they'd have one, or the gift shop at the science centre (there's a science centre in TO, right?).

Ya, Tiggy Winkles!

I thought of the ROM too, but it's a bit of a walk up the street. And the Science Centre is really far. I wish Toronto had a Tiggy Winkles, but then I'd just spend all of my money there. There used to be a science shop in Burlington, which I'll try Saturday if I have no luck. Photo is due Sunday night.

i feel your pain. i've spent around 4 hours over three days scouring the house for the nice 'real' poker chips we have stored in an m&m's candy tin. my best guess at this point is some guest of ours thought they were giant flat m&m's and stole them...

i hope they got theirs when they tried one... :)

Thanks, Efston is a good bet, but I take the train to downtown for work, and it's way up by the 401, so too far to get at for me. :-(

Looks like I'm taking the subway up to Efston. It's about 10-12km, but shouldn't take too long by subway, which is almost a direct route. Thanks Ralph! The trouble is, it looks like a very big store, full of lots of cool stuff, so I'll probably end up getting some impulse items! :-)

ETA: ... Efston Science
